Information and update - Balham Children’s Centre
From 1st October 2019 all Children’s Centres and Children’s Centre staff in Wandsworth have transferred to the local authority. Leadership and management of Children’s Centres is therefore now the responsibility of Wandsworth Council. However, we are very pleased that family support, activities and sessions at Balham Children’s Centre will continue to be delivered by Sasha, Paula and Roma for the time being.
Children’s Centre services are now being provided through three clusters across the borough - Tooting, Battersea and Roehampton. Balham Children’s Centre is part of the Tooting Cluster.
The reorganisation of the Children’s Centres is an exciting opportunity for the local authority to re-shape their offer in order to better meet the needs of local communities.
Helpful, professional staff. Great activities helping children to develop self reliance and co-operation.
Helps with interaction and mixing with children from all cultures.
The confidence the Children’s Centre has given to me and my family has been the most helpful resource we have accessed.
